Hi,
There are three ways that avoids all tolls:
(If you use google maps and set the route, but select "avoid tolls" in the advanced options)
Route 1) C17 - This way is ok, a bit slow after Ripoll. 3hrs to 3.5 hrs
Route 2) A2 - C55 - C16 coming off at "Guardiola de berguada" - The road after the C16 is VERY windy, and an absolute no-go if it has snowed! 3hrs to 3.5hrs
Route 3) A2 - C14 - This takes you way out, however avoids traffic until Andorra 3hrs to 3,5hrs
If you are not confident driving on mountain roads then take route 2, but stay on the C16; you would hit one toll (tunnel de Cadi) which is around 11,50€ each way. The main "bulk" of the tolls are on the C16, however, if you go up the C55 you avoid them. If you take this route just becareful of the speed cameras on the C55. This would take you apx. 2,5 hrs to 3hrs.
I'm presuming you have snow chains / slips for the wheels as if there is any snow you would need them! Pas de la Casa can be very snowey - check conditions before driving.
I've added a pdf for you: -
thank you very much for the advice
