    • Is it cheaper to book lift passes online?

      Hi all,

I'm going to Pas de la Casa on 28th Jan and need a lift pass for 4 days. Can anyone tell me if it is cheaper to book lift passes online or should I wait to buy when I arrive?
Also I snowboarded last year (2012) at Pas de la Casa and for one of the days all lifts were shut due to big snow. We asked for a refund for the days lift pass and were told that it is not policy and that we could use the pass for the lost day snowboarding this year instead. Has anyone ever experienced this and do they honour their word? I still have last years pass and am hoping they can check records to show that the lifts were indeed shut for the one day and give me my "free" day lift pass.

      Cheers

First of all lift pass prices... it's the same price to pre-book a lift pass as it is to buy when you've arrived, but it just means you can have everything paid for in advance. Also, if you pre-book your snowboard hire at the same time as your lift pass (min. 5 days though) then you will save money, because you get an extra €10 discount, which increases to €20 discount if you're taking group lessons.

Next, your lift pass from last year... from my experience of the mountain closing, usually they would give you a letter to confirm the mountain had closed for the day which is what you would need to claim your free day this year. Who was it who told you that you could have a free day?

    • 1 Day lift pass

      Hi steve,

      Thanks for the reply.

We booked our lift passes online, in advance last year and on our final day of holiday (04/02/12) when all the lifts were closed we went to the lift pass office in Pas de la casa to ask for a refund. We were told by the ticket attendant that we couldn't have a refund but could have a free day pass when we visit again as long as we bring our lift pass with us.

We have our lift passes from last year but no letter to confirm that they will honour this free day. I hope they will as this is one of the reasons why we are returning. I dont really want to turn up and find out that we have lost this day.
