      I have a query regarding ski hire. I booked with a "well known" ski rental shop in Pas - online.
      I dont use credit cards, but paid by debit card for the rental. I contacted the shop as had heard stories about wanting to keep a credit card, and explained I dont use these. So now they wany to keep my passport! is this a joke as there is no way i'm hadning my passport over, even considering I took out breakage and theft guarantee..why would they insist on keeping my passport?
      Any advice greatly appreciated.

    • ok no worries I probably was a bit taken a back by this news which is why i may have come across a bit negative in my previous post.
      I suppose I am ok for handing passport over as do now appreciate they do need to keep something as a form of security.
