Hi Nick The conditions at the moment couldn’t be more perfect.... March historical is a snowy month and it’s certainly living up to its trend. Today we’ve woken to the most AMAZING day clear blue sky, sunshine and over 45cm of fresh snow in the past few days. The warmer temperatures make for perfect mountain picnics and relaxing drinks on the terrace. Further snow is due to fall later this week, in summary.... you’ve picked an awesome week to come and you’re going to have a fantastic time.

Today’s been a perfect day on the mountain, the suns been high in the sky and I’ve barely seen a cloud all day, the slopes where awesome. Only one complaint... lift lines, it was a bank holiday today in Spain/France and consequently the lift lines where considerably longer than normal. However what an amazing day on the slopes, people.... what people??? My memory of today will be AWESOME slopes, AMAZING weather and ASTOUNDING skiing company

The minimum booking is 2 hours, allowing you lots of time to regain your confidence and be introduced to the mountains. The cost is between €78 and €98, depending upon which hours of the day you choose, for every extra person, the cost is €8 per 2 hours, with a maximum of 6 people per instructor. To book private lessons simply call Grandvalira on the following number +376 8…

We had around 15 cm of new snow yesterday, today we’ve woken to glorious sunshine and blue skies, not a cloud in the sky... happy days. Temperatures continue to remain low between -5 and -16, so the snow canons continue to be going strong. With the 20km/h winds it could feel even colder today, definitely a good idea to pack a few extra layers See you Sunday.

Hi John, We received a good 10 cm of new snow earlier this week , which revived the slopes and made the skiing/boarding a lot better. The runs are looking great, nicely groomed and ready for some gentle riding or occasional speed runs!! The steeper red towards the top of the mountain are little icy earlier in the mornings, once the suns warmed them up there are great too.

  • I would definitely recommend booking, as you can image it’s very popular!! To book just pop into KSB, on the right of the slopes, heres the link to our map pasdelacasa-andorra.com/pas-de-la-casa-map.php

  • Hello Pas de la Casa is definitely family friendly, the majority of the bars / restaurant’s cater for young families, the Underground however is more focused to partying!! The mountain company Grandvalira has a great ski school for over 6 years and a crèche facility for the younger peeps. Sarah - - The Place For Anything Else!

    Post

Hello, As far as I’m aware the new smoking ban that came into effect on the 2nd Jan in Spain unfortunately does not apply to Andorra. I know in 2010 restrictions in restaurants, bars and work places were under discussion but no new laws have come into effect. Smoking in Andorra is currently banned in government, educational and hospital buildings, enclosed sports facilities and buses, this has been in effect since 2004

  • Hi Danny, You should check out Hiper Pas, I’ve found it to be the cheapest place for food etc and yes they do sell alcohol... rather dangerously cheap too!! Here’s the link to our Pas map, key places etc are located on here. pasdelacasa-andorra.com/pas-de-la-casa-map.php The weather can really vary in Andorra, yesterday we had beautiful blue skies, boarding with our jackets undo, no gloves etc, but today it’s cloudy and cooler, I’d come prepared for a combination. In the past the weather in Jan …

Hello, Yes Monday morning can at times be a little bit busy in rental shops, sometimes companies allow guests to collect their equipment the night before. I know this is something our guests can do and certainly makes it a lot easier for them. With regards ski school for your sons, I would suggest you place them in an intermediate class. Have a think about what runs they were doing earlier this year, were they comfortably on green, blues, red etc? Don’t worry if you’re not 100% sure of their abi…

  • Hello Rodney, I would definitely suggest you carry snow chains, you will be driving high in the mountains and the weather conditions can change very quickly, hopefully there will be a lot of snow in March!! I would also advise you look into snow tyres and make sure you know how to apply the snow chains. If the road conditions are particularly bad, the police will be performing roadside checks and if you are unprepared they will not let you continue your journey. The mountain pass from France can…

  • Hey Danny, Would definitely recommend your guys check out Deja Beer, really quirky pub serving so so so many different types of beer. What I personally love is you can pour your own beer, there’s taps in the tables!! They also serve tapas snacks, burgers, toasted sandwiches, nachos, paella and pizza’s. The Perla Negra just opposite Deja Beer is also worth visiting, a Pirate themed bar, very relaxed, and chilled, WIFI is available here too. KSB located on the slopes offers amazing cocktails, beer…

  • Hi Kitty Kat, Love the username Back to your question hehe, Pas has a great night life, I personally would recommend you check out Underground. This is a really friendly bar/nightclub, they open for a lively après ski and then again later in the evening through to the early hours. It’s run by 3 English boys who love playing indie rock and hip hop music. This year they are also going to be running a Snow Safari, a guided tour of the mountain, including drinks and dinner for €25, sounds like great…
